NASS Dingwall Branch Is a self help group, run for people with
Ankylosing Spondylitis by people with Ankylosing Spondylitis with
the help of their family and friends.
What Does NASS Dingwall Branch do for
its members Our aim is
to help you to: -

- Better management of your
Ankylosing Spondylitis
- Hold a physiotherapy class
in a gym every other week, taken by a fully qualified
physiotherapist.
- Hold a physiotherapy class
in the Puffin
Hydrotherapy Pool
alternate weeks to gym
classes, this is also
taken by a fully qualified physiotherapist.
- To keep a record of your
joint mobility, (with your permission), and inform you if
there is a decrease in any particular joint.
- Advise on the best
physiotherapy type exercise,
- To inform you of any
advances in drug & physiotherapy treatment
- Loan you equipment
to help with your exercises
- Loan you equipment to help you manage your
pain, and give you more comfort.
- To offer
you other services, (see NASSDB equipment
library catalogue
for more details)
- To answer
your questions about AS.
- To send you
a regular newsletter
- Offer
advice and counselling services on
related questions such as
anti-inflammatory drugs, aids, life
insurance, beds and chairs, car driving,
and questions on inheritance, etc.
- To offer two types of membership.
- Full membership gives you access to every
physiotherapy class and all the other services.
Cost £12 per quarter employed £6 per quarter
unemployed/OAP.
Affiliated membership gives you access to all the services,
except physiotherapy classes.
Cost £5 per year, plus £1 for
employed 50p unemployed/OAP for any physiotherapy classes your
are able to attend.
