INDICATION
A narcotic medication used to relieve pain.
SIDE EFFECTS
Itching, rash, liver toxicity, sedation, decreased senses, euphoria, dizziness,seizures, low blood pressure, decreased heart rate, nausea, vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, urine retention, intestinal obstruction, flushing, respiratory depression, and addiction.

USUAL DOSE
Adult: 1-2 capsules (15-30 mg codeine) every four hours as needed or 1 capsule (60 mg codeine) every four hours as needed.
Children: individualized per physician.
